F.A.Q.
Q. Is your gym intimidating?
A. Absolutely not! Please stop by to watch a class or just say hello! We take pride in being the most approachable gym in the area. We guarantee you'll feel at home, you’ll find a great community of inspiring men and women, and you'll meet a passionate team of instructors who will do everything possible to help you reach your goals.
Q. Why is your gym different?
A. What sets us apart is our commitment to making sure every member has a quality experience. We cap our classes to guarantee every member is seen, heard, and properly cared for. We also pride ourselves on teaching AUTHENTIC boxing technique. Our head coach has years of actual ring experience and believes strongly in every athlete taking their time to master proper fundamentals. Yes, you will have plenty of fun during our classes, but we will always make sure you are doing everything correctly, safely, and at your correct ability level.
Q. Do you limit class sizes?
A. Yes! Beginner Fundamentals and Small Group Boxing are limited to 8 participants per session to ensure everyone gets the proper coaching and attention they need. Our other classes are capped at 12.
Q. What happens if I'm new to boxing and don't have my own gear?
A. Don’t worry, we've got you covered! For your first day, we have rental gloves available for $5.00 that are cleaned and disinfected after each use. However, we definitely recommend having your own pair for long term use. To make things simple and easy for you to get the ball rolling, we have gloves, hand wraps, jump ropes, t-shirts, and hoodies available for sale at the gym.
Q. Should I already be in good shape before I start your classes?
A. Nope! We've designed our programs for all ages and fitness levels. Our classes are designed to allow new members to train at their own pace while at the same time, giving advanced students the opportunity to challenge themselves.
Q. Will there be other beginners in my class?
A. More than likely, yes! Every class is generally a balanced mix of beginners, intermediates, and more advanced athletes. Aside from being coached by our instructors, you'll also notice our advanced students are always eager to help you any chance they have.
Q. What can I expect at a group class?
A. To have fun! Our classes are a balanced mix of boxing fitness, cardio training, and functional fitness. You’ll be doing conditioning drills like jumping jacks, core exercises, and quick feet drills as well as fundamental boxing drills for an amazing full body workout. All exercises and drills can be modified to suit your ability level and any limitations you might have.
Q. How many classes per week should I attend?
A. Most of our members train about 2-3 times per week and see great results! We have classes 7 days per week, so the amount of classes you take is totally based on your personal schedule.
Q. How much are your classes?
A. Classes range from $25-$35 each depending on on your membership type. Single drop-ins are on the higher end of the range while longer term membership are on the lower end.
Q. What does membership include?
A. Monthly memberships include Unlimited Open Gym access, instructed classes (4, 8, or 12 per month), and workouts and drills to do on your own (via the TrueCoach app). Drop-in packages can be used for classes and/or Open Gym reservations.
Q. How does Open Gym work?
A. Open Gym hours are available for you to practice your skills outside of classes and sessions with your coach. You'll have access to our various bags and training equipment (including barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, ropes, bikes, ski ergs, and rowers).
